Thats great, dizzy! well done with her,and well done to your farrier/ep too. I'm going to have to sedate bonita next week to get hers done as despite me being able to pick them out now,she was really freaked by a man ( farrier, who is really quiet and gentle) coming near her and her feet are awful so I really dont want to wait. So glad you managed without,I'm sure she will feel a lot better for it.

Thank you both, we have put a lot of effort into picking her feet up over the last few weeks and I am glad we waited now and made it a fairly positive experience for her (and a very large bucket of alfa LOL!)

I hope not Smudge but I do fear the worst for her as she is only a baby herself. I don't think it is imminent but could be a 2008 foalie...........

So proud of our big black girl, farrier came again today and she was good as gold, stood like an old pro with a haynet and the rope through a loop but not tied (she's never been tied up) and apart from Elphin making her jump and pull back once she was really really good. Farrier was very pleased with how her feet are growing back into a natural shape after the neglect and the big cracks are growing out. She is a total sweetheart and I am really loving having her.

poor thing with her feet - well at least she had realised by the second time round that its in her interests to have her feet done - hope she is feeling better now they are being trimmed. - she looks really well.

Quick Libby update..... Libby would like to formally ask if anyone can please rescue her as she is being forced to forage on the muck heap and she is SOOOOO painfully thin.

No none of them coming in, even my poor baby arab Foalie is left out unrugged..... And as you can see (and checkout Maybelline too) they are doing very badly....thin and uncared for. (BTW, what they were eating off the muck heap was what I had scraped up round the bale and didn't think it was fit to offer!!)
