Hi to everybody,
Is anybody organising the rescue of these horses?I have been following both threads and am pretty confused, sorry for being dull!!I would like to offer cash to rescue some and could also offer homes, preferably temporary until they could be found permanent homes,I am therefore happy to help both Melissa and Carol to buy. Please let me know if somebody is organising purchase and transport. kind regards,Sarah.

I would happily give him a home so long as no one thinks i'm just after a free horse! I was gutted to not be able to follow through and help him out. :-(

anyone know about uge has somone been able to take him, poory chap is in an awful state needs some feeding up and tlc then would probably be a nice horse, who the hell let him get in that state in the first place, some of the blame must go onto the original owners.

As far as I can figure out a member on here has asked someone in France to go and have another look at Uge - in his photo he was standing very strangely and also one of the horses in his herd wasn't sound when we went to see them and I can't remember which one it was.... They are taking some photos and getting back to her. As for the little spanish stallion - I believe he has been re-homed in France - will check again on Nouvelle Vie. He is a bit of a stunner - didn't see him when we visited, presumably he's kept separately for some reason ! UPDATE - I've have a good scout round on the Nouvelle Vie site and can't find his details any more - I'm HOPING this means he has found a home......

Hiya, the only reason we concentrated on the Dept 41 horses is because that's a fattening farm and the horses travel vast distances from Spain to Northern France then back down to Italy for slaughter. A couple of us also visisted the farm and had first hand accounts of the horses and verified that this wasn't a scam - they really were meat horses at the 'last chance saloon'. There are other horses on the Nouvelle Vie site and I believe at least one person on here has bought from somewhere else in France.
