Hello everyone
I just wanted to let everyone know that Rose and Tila were in the NI Horse/farm week today. The story was ok....they covered most of it, but got a few facts wrong and left some important bits out. Anyway, I was glad it went in as this paper is bought by every horsey person over here.
They didnt put in the equinesection website like I asked them to and put my phone number in instead!! Well my phone hasnt stopped ringing today. I have passed on the web address to everyone. I had offers of peoples who can offer homes/ground if needed. One lady in particular called Margaret owns a small rescue centre, she has 10 horses, 4 donkeys and 24 dogs! A lovely lady who phoned me and said she would like to help the most needy ones. As a result she has taken the 18 year old bay mare with her cute little foal and the connemara x with wobblers! She is very excited to have them and they will hopefully be in Northern Ireland next week.
What great news!!

lol.....gosh if I had a pound for everytime I've told our story today....we could rescue another!!! hehe Its just fantastic, problem is most of them don't have pcs or don't use them, other than the few younger people I was speaking to. So I'm having to post pics and info, I dont mind at all. I generally was speaking to nice ladies who live well out into the country over here. One older farmer (who I couldnt hardly understand) phoned and said....I'll buy that chestnut mare!! (meaning rose)..... I was horrified!!!! I said no sorry shes not for sale, I've just rescued her, he said oh, I said....did you read all of the article, and he said no!! silly man. Other than that everyone was really nice and like-minded.... I had some very conversations about the way horses are transported and the cruelty around. Anyway.. looking forward to a nice long bath tonight..

Now I think of it..... if they had of put the website and not my home phone number as I'd asked them... then the mare/foal and wee connemara wouldnt be saved tonight.... is that funny!!!!

The black trotter mare was saved and is now looking for a permanent home by the people that saved her..I think thats the case anyway.
Dept 86 ones are the most urgent at the moment as whatever is left by Thursday will be on the butchers lorry.
Equinesection is up to date with reserved or saved by the dangerlist ones that got homes today
