Hi Gem, thanks for the pics got really close to her today-Sarah is showing me.she really wants to trust - you can see it in her eyes.I think you and sarah have been great with sorting out the horses, and Sarah has been bad with a stomach bug for the last week and has still carried on, she lost half a stone which makes her a size double zero in my reckoning!thanks Sarah you're one in a million! ps sarah, dont expect comments like this too often!

Hi bonitas mum here, does anyone think she may be in foal? she is either very round or in foal, cant get vet to check her yet as she is just starting to trust people and dont want to scare her. it may be that she was just being fattened up, but there is a possibility that she was running with a stallion during the last 6 months or so?she moves very prettily, cant see any scars or anything a few nicks in her ears, she looks as if she had been looked after well at some time. anyway she is now with me for good.

I would have thought it fairly likely if the farms have colts and stallions mixed in wiith the mares nearly all will foal at some time over the next 12 months. Not sure about the segregation policy so can't really comment just that even here some dealers have all sexes together and often BOGOF foals arrive in the first year of purchase

Hi just an update Sarah has done really well with Bonita, she can touch her and has been brushing her gently, cant get to the left hand side though. Sarah also managed to cut off the long tangled dreadlock that she had dangling down. she is also eating proper horse food and I gave her a small slices of apple and carrot and horse treats in her bowl yesterday. she ate these and when I held them in my hand she sniffed them but wouldnt take them. this is a vast improvement since she arrived 3 weeks ago, and I can only thank Sarah for all her fantastic help and patience, especially as she has a busy yard to run as well.still dont if she is expecting time will tell!
