Ok, so Roxanne arrived here at about 7.30pm last night, unfortunatly I had to go out so left the arrival in the very capable hands of my OH. When she arrived she was very worried but she did go into the stable quite willingly, there were others in the stable block so she wasn't alone. I got home at around 11pm and she was fine - she'd settled and although she wasn't really eating or drinking much she was quite calm. This morning she had a small chop / beet feed which she wolfed down, she's obviously no stranger to food! And I gave her a litte fuss, she seems happy to be fussed, not head shy although a little wary. She's ok to have her front feet picked up but unsure of you being around her back end. She has very runny eyes which look quite sore, so i've bathed them with boiled cooled water and will get something from the vet to clear it up. This evening I gave her a groom which she loved, she grooms you back ;D she let me work on untangling her mane too, she loves having her neck and face groomed. So far so good - she seems to have been handled and certainly knows all about tit-bits (will have to stop those!) so could have been loved in a former life! Piccies from this morning.

She's around 14 - 14.2hh and she's not supposed to be pregnant but she has a huge low belly so will have to get the vet to check that one out. She's out now and has learnt all about electric fence's She's starting to settle in the field, she spent a while pacing the fence line but is eating a little now. More pics soon.

Quick update - Roxy is quite happy to have fly spray on, trivial I know but makes life so much easier when we're under attack from mutant horse flies!

I saw Roxanne on the lorry and she reached out to snuffle my hand, I was a bit emotional by then having met Honey and her trustingly let us lead her out into the field and lay down next to us to roll! I'm so pleased shes doing well she seemed really kind x
