Uge is the most wonderful, kind and gentle horse I have ever met. I am so amazed at how he has settled and how trusting he is with humans. He is not one bit spooky, seems so sensible. I absolutely adore him (so does everyone that has met him!). I spent 2 hours today unmatting his mane, I cant believe what state it was in and how long it was. It must have been left for a very very long time to get like that. He just stood there falling asleep and he let me pull it once I had managed to get a comb through it!! He really wasn't bothered at all. I think he has been tethered alot of his life by his back leg. He has a deep groove and sores where the rope has been. I gave it a good clean today and his skin was as tough as old boots. I gave him a good groom and lots and lots of hugs and kisses. I will take some pics later so you can see how much better he looks already, just from sorting his mane. This is the best thing I have ever done and am quite emotional about it all! Thank you to everyone involved who made this possible.xx

He is so lovely. Guinevere's mane was in an awful mess too. Must've taken us nearly 2 hours too! What breed is Bentley? Does he seem lame? Have you seen him trot?

well i managed to get a fly mask on lafun today! i had gradually been getting him use to it over his neck etc, so today i just popped it over his ears......he spooked for about a minute and totally accepted it. He is so good bless him. I am really excited as i have zoe the ra coming to see us tomorrow for some help on leading etc. i dont think he is that aware of me being on the end of the rope!

thank you for the pics zoe! bless him he does look cute doesn't he. well i thoroughly enjoyed today with zoe ;D found it so helpful, thank you very very much!!!! its just so typical that he didn't do what i told zoe he does when i lead him out to the field! he behaved impecably......didnt he zoe? we did some work on making him go backwards, he found that a little difficult at first but soon got the hang of it. he seems a pretty quick learner. it did help that zoe was great he responded really well to today....i just have to remember all of what zoe told me! i struggled a little at doing 2 things at the same time to start with...i thought it was only men that couldn't do that! lol once again thank you so much zoe! i may well get you to sort my terrible new forest out!! ;D

you can tell from the pics of rose and tila that they would be like that, hope they are both ok and rose is improving.
