I'm not sure if I've posted photos of my new boy before (he's been here 6 weeks), but we got some fairly decent ones at Fawley RC show yesterday. He's terribly lazy in hand, so we've been practising and it paid off - we won the in hand cob class, ring championship then went Supreme In hand Champion ;D I was over the moon with him - in hand isn't something I usually enjoy, but I enjoyed it yesterday!! We then did our first ever ridden classes together, winning a 14 strong novice ridden class and 2nd in the cobs. We were both exhausted by the end - with championships we did 6 classes rather than just the 3 we bargained for! I think he still needs to loose some weight and gain some muscle, but the judge thought he was fine. He has been steadily loosing and getting fitter over the 6 weeks we've had him and relaxing at the trailer

What a lovely cob Cubic, how old is he, and is he up to height? Are you going to RIHS to see the cobs on Sunday ( if the show lasts that long) if so, we must meet up ;D

Are you going to RIHS to see the cobs on Sunday ( if the show lasts that long) if so, we must meet up ;D He's 4, and 15hh at the moment - I'm really hoping his wither catches up with his hindquaters (which are bang on 15.1hh!), he's definately on the small side at the moment. He's been bought to be mum's 2nd hunter now she's doing 2 days a week, so he doesn't have to make it to top level, but it'd be nice to not look out of place at our local county shows. I'm afraid I can't make it to RIHS this year (I move house and start a new job on the Monday), I'm going to the New Forest for cob day though (are any of the ponies you've bred going, it's SP and hack day too). We definatley have to meet up sometime.

He looks great, well done! I agree with you that he could lose a couple more inches, but he still looks good now! ;D

Cubic, I've only one going, a large hack on Saturday and Sunday for the Intermediates. the small hack and SP are still novices although the SP has qualified for HOYS in his only open class. I've been today and it was drying well, but still pretty dire. Whether we'll make it to the weekend if it rains again, I really don't know

Oooh I do really like him cubic SS3 have been there all day today in glorious sunshine (unfortunatly my boy is lame but yard cob won ) It was pretty muddy but really drying out nicely; my boots were almost clean... Ring 5 is underwater but they are playing things a day at a time. Coloureds were moved to all weather and I'd imagine other showing classes may be at a later date. If the rain holds off until mid tomorrow I reckon it should be OK. They've put hardcore down all at the top of the allweather where it was grass/ mud for the derby meet

I watched the 15hh and under classes and championship---------around 30 to 40 in each class and started to get blotches before the eyes, so I missed your lot and went and helped a friend set her stand up instead. Who was Champion ?
