This is Lesley at Trallwm Farm's orphan foal. For those who might not have been on the MF lately she has made an appeal for milk for him. Isn't he gorgeous

he's so cute, really hope all goes well with him. Good that he's in such capable hands.
Our little orphan foal (munchkin - who a lot of people helped with by giving lots of advice) is now huge. We got him for Beth, my friend's mare to foster as he'd lost his own mum at birth and Beth had given birth to a stillborn.
We now have learnt a lot more about his breeding, he's a hannoverian (sp!) and is a grandson of weltmeyer! Looks a bit strange with his Welsh C mummy!

Yes he did die. The matter hasnt been discussed as it is part of a legal process. So thanks who ever felt it neccesary to put this on. Someone deliberately put a stallion in with mares just while there was no one around. The end result was that the stallion had a genetic fault and all the foals of this colouring died. One is still alive and being monitered. It caused a lot of heartache for loaners who have mares on permanent loan and had to watch foals die but then the person who did it really wouldnt care.
