I use Mattes numnahs for showing - love them and they fit perfectly with my saddles. For everyday I tend to use cottage craft dressage style - they almost fit my WH saddles, but not as neatly as the Mattes.

Suber Pad - I have seen the website for this as wondered about it. Does it really work? A few years ago someone was marketing a pad filled with polystyrene beads, to "even out the pressure" but it disappeared without trace. There are repeated new inventions, gel pads, prolite, polypads, air flocking, which come and go and are the latest new thing for a bit, so I just watch and wait. I know the polypads and prolite have been around for ages, and work, but others become fasionable, like the gel pad, and then just quietly go.

Hiya, another vote for Nuumeds High Wither half wool numnah. Lovely numnah and not too thick either. Only prob' with it is when I come to mount, the material side is very slippy and the saddle slips round on it bah! I have to use my saddle stabiliser to get on now and prob' solved.

I would also put my vote on the Prolite all in one saddlecloth. The difference in my horse since I had this has been noticeable, and one of my friends who does a lot of Trec has just bought one and is delighted with it too. Needless to say she spends a lot more hours in her saddle than I do in mine!
I have also used the Numed high wither numnahs too, and these were fine. It is just with my horse being a little - hu hum - rotund, it slipped a bit. No reflection on the numnah at all, and on less built horses would say these are as good as anything else around. If your horse is a little on the larger side then definitely the Prolite.

I use a plain sheep skin numnah. I have tried so many different sorts but I always end up going back to this! Does the job and washes really well time and time again xxx

For Pip re Suber pad....
Heather Moffat has done pressure testing with it and is so convinced about it she is going to incorporate it into her treeless saddles.
Friend used it with her Torsion on her broad, flat welsh cob and was very happy with it too.
Really works for me - as said, fills in the dips on my oddball horse and the saddle doesn't move.

Ria has Polypads - she's got an old abck now bless her so I like that they cushion her so well (and evenly)
Monty has plain cotton numnahs - I have found the Roma ones suit him/the saddle best.
Both of them have four each, so there's always a clean one to wear.

collypod - glad it made the difference I use a Nuumed high wither half sheepskin with my sensitive TB, plus he has a prolite pad to help with concussion - recommend both highly (but make sure your saddle is wide enough to accomodate the prolite as it will narrow the fit)
