Hi Carol Sorry lovely, have lost your e mail address..... Jen has been in touch today re the beach and has said she would be better off going on the Thursday as opposed to Friday as we'd planned. Unfortunately mum can only have Savannah on the friday and Jen is struggling for childcare then. What we have suggested is postponing until later in the year, say october or novemeber once your showing season is over and it'll give us time to get childcare organised and for me to get Roger fitter too. If you can make the thursday would you let Jen know as I think she is still planning to go with her friend and then we can re arrange for later on if that fits in with you? Cheers and enjoy the rest of the summer x

I was at an engagement party - the amazing part was that i only had ONE drink - I've done the - 'have too much to drink the night before , travel to show with bucket , throw up , tack up horse , throw up, get on horse, get off horse and throw up , get back on horseand go in the ring and win ' once years ago and never wish to repeat it ;D Mind you I did go out the other week , call OH to come and pick me up and then be ill on the way home I should have learnt really at my time of life but after a couple of years or so I seem to forget again if the circumstances are right

Hi Carol, Sorry to barge in like that but when I saw the title I had to ask... Do you live in St Annes? I was an au pair in St Annes about 18 years ago. Brings back memories

Hi Carol, Small world indeed. I'm terrible with names and need to go back to my diary (teehee) to get any surnames back! I first worked for a big family in Lytham but didn't get along too well with them so moved to another family in St Annes, a small side road off St Albans road (near North Crescent) if I remember well. They moved shortly after I left so I lost contact. It was back in 1987... The little Andrew I looked after turned 2 in June back then so he's 20 now aaarrgghhh. I remember I had looked for stables to ride at but with my aupair pocket money and little time I could not afford it. Also fell madly in love back then LOL

If you remember anymore let me know - I'm intrigued now My kids are 22 20 and 18 so I could have easily moved in the same circles ! I live so very near where you describe . I might even know the person you fell in love with - its not so big a place - wow - what a coincidence

Hehe Carol. All I can tell you is that the first family in Lytham had originally moved from Manchester. They managed a rest home in Blackpool. The lady's name is Valerie (hum) and the kids were 3 girls of respectively 15, 13 and 11 - all in their 30s or near now - called Carol (not you I guess), Wendy and Suzan and a little boy called Matthew who's now in his 20s.
The family in St Annes had only the one boy (Andrew) but the guy already has two kids from a previous marriage. Due to a work accident he's lost one of his forearms. His wife is called Alison. As for the guy I fell in love with, well he was 8 years older than I so in his mid 40s now but although I do remember his name I'd be very embarrassed if you knew him (you probably did). We used to go to a pub opposite the railway station on the other end of the North Crescent.
