We do a sort of tinsel ride each year on Christmas eve, we get all the horses done up with bells, tinsel and flashing reindeer horns and ride down to our local village, there is always at least 7 of us just with our lot. The Spaniards all think we are mad and it doesn't quite seem the same when the sun is shining!

ROTFLOL!!!!
Kofi looks ... Errrrr.. Very impressed (NOT!)
Maybe its the combination of the angel outfit, endurance hat and joddies/boots!
I have a yen to do something like this.. so far my expliots involve taking Maud the donkey to the donkey service. Maybe I should volunteer to be one of the wise men and then i can dress up to my heart's content. I'm sure Mara would enjoy it as she is really an opera Diva in disguise.

Hi Carol, I must be honest and say that I only did it to tick the box, on the basis of "don't knock it till you've tried it!". It was a horrible, freezing cold day and there was sheet ice in many places, including at the start which Kofi (sensible boy) refused point blank to walk on. I had to get off and lead him round so many patches of it that the skirt was tossed aside quite soon. After about three miles of crunching through ice and snow to stony forestry track below, we were faced with a steep descent at which I bailed out and led him down. We both skated (I kid you not, it was terrifying)to the bottom and I retired to go back along the main track which was by the river and fairly ice-free. Never again! Plenty of horses whizzed round at a good speed but I don't know how they stayed on their feet - we couldn't. I know it's a daft outfit and the wings were a bit small and wobbly but I was rather proud of my halo - especially as it's the only one I'm ever likely to have................
