Been lurking on the Net. Found this forum. Some interesting attitudes and discussions. Particularly the 2 yr old filly thread, which ends with her going to a trainer for a couple of months. Not trying to incense any of you, just interesting to see how the other half live www.cattletoday.com/forum/topic-4-0-0.html

That is soo interesting, I think I am going to be on there all night...they call lungeing "lounging". In some ways they seem worlds apart from us, in others, just the same (in fact I have spotted the same threads on there as on here!).

I'm having a really interesting read all over the Net, glass of red to hand, mince pies also, it's very relaxing. Look up "BLM mustang" for some great ideas and inspiration as well.

LOL "After you get them under control, you empty your boots, possibly change your underwear, analyze the situation and make corrections. " loved this quote about runaway horses!

I'm enjoying some of the threads though. These are the guys who live with horses as working animals every day. There's a lot of common sense advice there, even if it's not quite what you'd get here.

It's weird, isn't it, how you get used to one site and the people on them - I looked at the trailer loading problem and couldn't understand half of what they were going on about in terms of what they travel the horses in - none of them seem to like enclosed trailers and all the horses loaded well into big open wagons - bet Flynn would really enjoy that:-)
Different world, but as said above, lots of things the same, and they seem to be thinking of the horses which is the main thing!

As one who is regularly on the Muleskinners forum on Mule.org www.mules.org/forum/index.php I'm used to that sort of discussion about trailers also the man who if his pack mules get bothered by a loose dog attacking them when out on a trail just shoots it !
