My friends horse is showing the classic signs of having back ache. Does anyone have the contact no of a great back person in the North Warrington, Cheshire area? Regards MD.

If you PM Anna Hindley ( equine chiropractic) on here then she may be able to help or suggest someone who can . She is based in Staffordshire.

My friend's horse has ben referred to, I think he is called Mark Windsor, working out of Ashbrook Equine Hospital.
Anyone know of him, good or bad?

Only ever heard good reports of Mark Windsor - he's been going for years and used to treat my horses about 15 years ago, before I qualified. he is a McTimmoney chiropractor I think - one of the old school. You are in good hands.

How great is this. Jane has been offered a cancellation, tomorrow at Ashbrook. So I am taking her an Heidi down. I haven't driven the box since I went to Bath on my course last July. Let's hope t is like riding a bike.
Regards MD.

Heidi has a sore back due to a badly fitting saddle, so good and not so good news for Jane. A couple of more weeks off for both to let healing continue and then get her new saddle fitted. There were already doubts before but while Jane was having a new saddle fitted it was blatantly obvioius that Heidi had issues so they wouldn't do any further fitting until her back was checked. I would like to point out that Jane has only had Heidi for six or so weeks.
As for the horsebox I guess you could say I was a little heavy handed on the brakes initally but got back to it correctly by the time we were nearly home, more practice neaded I guess before I go back to Bath in May for my intensive course, yeah!
Thanks for the interest,
regards MD.

Better to know what is going on. Sounds like Heidi got a lucky break finding Jane

As I said before Heidi and Jane are new to each other so while she has to rest Jane has been doing ground work with my husband's tuition. I ride in a free'n'easy saddle so we put this on to long line Heidi. Jane actually sat on her while wearing it and was suitabley impressed. She has been in touch with her saddle fitter, keeping them appraised of the investigative findings and treatment suggestions. Anyway, to cut a long story short, Jane has got herself a free'n'easy saddle for Heidi and it is apparently like riding a different horse. So a good result there I feel.
Reagrds MD.
