I made a hideous discovery today when mucking out our tiny pony mare. A RAT, dead one, beaten into pulp. Literally. The only conclusion is the poor creature made the fatal mistake of entering the mare's stall in the night, scared the bejeezus out of her and turned her into a snorting, stamping killing machine. She's a spirited little pony, cute as a button with huge shiny eyes, and one heck of a temperament. Would she really be that quick in her moves?? Oh yes, I can just imagine it. We have three cats at the yard (one workaholic, 1-2 rodents per day; one laid back good-for-nothing punk who occasionally catches something if he feels like a little exercise, and a missy prissy, who prefers her meals to be in interesting shapes and different colours), and they are not really keeping on top of the rodent problem. Not since they all moved in in the beginning of winter. Oh well, I needn't worry, now the pony's joined their ranks! Yikes..

Hehe that really made me smile imagining thios angelic looking pony squishing a big ugly rat!! Funny mental image! My pony would be terrified of a rat i do imagine! Yes my cat always preffered her meals out of a packet too... maybe its somethingto do with being a female!
