Any recommendations for good, comfortable everyday jods? Not too expensive as I don't feel I wear mine enough to warrant £60 or so (having said that the Harry Halls I am currently wearing have lasted me years so I suppose would have been value for money, I think I paid about £20 for them!) I would like some thermals if possible and Sam (daughter) would like pink ones (she is 18!!) Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

hey, i have just got a pair of riding tights, and i think they are great, they are a bit thinner then jods, but warmer and much more comfy, but they are a lil pricy, but i'm guessing they'll probably last for ages.

Loveson cotton lycra mix £19.95, heavy and warm but very comfy or lighter ones are John McDougall £19.99 - nylon mix, I wear mine with a pair of M & S thermals underneath. Both the Loveson and the John McD come in loads of colours including cerise pink and bright purple as well as some lovely earthy colours like forest green, chocolate brown and khaki!
Thermal Jods are a tad pricey, Harry Hall are £60, i got mine in the sale for £35 and to be quite honest I am not that impressed as they are really stiff around the knees, Robinsons catalogue do some fleecy jods for £20 but not sure how thick they are

I got two pairs of Dublin pull up type jods for £19.50 at local tack shop and I am very impressed with them, nice fit, quite thick and great value for money.

I have tried saddle huggers but find they lose shape and take ages to dry. Caldene are by far the comfiest and best Ive ever had! They also do 2 leg lenghts so good for tall people too!

We currently have Just Togs, Gorringe, Shires and a few other makes in our shop on offer. Gorringe get my vote (still wearing a pair of the cords after 11 years) but Just Togs are the top sellers this Christmas. Our jods vary from 10% - 25% off RRP at the moment. PM me if you are looking for any specific make.

I got jods off ebay - I'm no lightweaight, and couldn't find any over a size 16 anywhere until I got these - I think I paid about £15 max for them, and they are ace!

I wear Robinsons 'everyday' jods as my everyday jod - I wear them a lot, and while not as long lasting as the eternal HH they do wear well, wash a dream, dry instantly and come in every size imaginable. I like their great stretchiness - they are almost a riding tight, I suppose. Nice plain useful colours, and no two tone seat to make one look oversized!

I have a pair of Caldene jods that are over 30 years old, the waist band is going a bit now but the rest is fine

30 years old??!!!
I LOVE caldene jods (or did when I fit in them lol) had my old pairs for 4 and 6yrs each...still got them both in the cupboard but at 26" waists id be dreaming if I think I could get them even half on at the mo! Have tried several brands more recently that dont stop at 30" waists (need to breathe in a bit much!) but they have all fallen apart before long, though the robinsons ones I have at the mo (Hi-Waist) seem to be the best ones, though they have come apart at the waist a bit and the zip has broken. I keep meaning to buy new ones but money keeps going on other things...maybe I should just loose this weight and fit into the old ones??!!
