The first lesson in a new interactive NH CD-ROM for children is now online at: www.irishnaturalhorsemanshipsociety.com/elearning/intro.htmlThis is geared towards 9-13 year olds, and will be released as a CD-ROM in the Spring. This preview requires broadband connection as it will be a bit slow over a modem. Any comments, reviews, ideas etc would be appreciated. Many thanks. _____________________ inhs@irishnaturalhorsemanshipsociety.com

Looks like a lovely start As you put the photos together there are two things it might be worth considering - Should the children shown handling horses be wearing hats? Some will criticise if they aren't... Is it worth making sure that any rope halters shown on horses fit properly? Knots laying on the cheek and big dangly bits above the fiador knot, particularly if used with a metal clip leadrope, aren 't that brill. I'd also recommend avoiding the use of word "game", or "phase" or anything remotely resembling Parelli ;D It's bad enough having people assume all NH = Parelli, but apart from that, PNH love looking for people to sue.

I had a look at it with my daughter (8 years), and she loved the quiz especially, so I think it will work very well with kids. But if you make a wrong answer, can they not try again - or at the end, tell which ones they got wrong?
She said it is really good.
Make sure you spell check it very carefully.
Good start.

Thanks very much - I've updated the quiz so you can repeat it at the end, and I'm going to reprogam it so you can attempt each question again if you get it wrong. Thanks for the game/phase heads up Spell check is ongoing as I speak with the other 12 lessons, quizzes and exercises (!! I'll be busy!), and I'll bear in mind all comments received going forward Thanks again.
