The voting system will only work if you register, if you'd prefer not to at the moment you can always leave us a message below.
All suggestions welcome, would you like to change anything?

I think this would be a better forum as long as everyone had to register, with a validated email and use a name to post.

I agree with Roo! We could finally get rid of all those nasty anons and have a lurvly, constructive, informative DG ;D

I think it's wonderful, just what IH needs and miles better than the current setup. The login and user profiles will go a long way to getting rid of the nasty anon problems plagueing the DG IMHO. The post categorisation will make it a lot more user freindly too.
And there's a better selection of smileys than on New Rider;)

I do like this, but my only thought is for those wanting to post something personal, would they be able to use anon type register & how then would it stop nasty anons.

Good point.
Maybe there could be a special forum that alows people to post unregistered? Maybe the NH Chat? Can that be done? One forum where you don't have to be registered and the rest that you do?

It would be a shame to lose the personal ones that you can understand why they are anon, but on the whole this is the way forward for the IHDG.
I'm not sure I can cope with all these smileys!!

It is possible to login as a guest as many people have done, so someone could use a guest account if they wanted to post something personal.
I think this new forum is excellent though and if it has to be at the expense of personal posts, I don't mind.

;D Ooh, yes, I think I like this too, although I will have to have a few goes to see how easy it is to find threads etc. Feels very neat and tidy though and seems to be loading a lot easier than the DG or even the MF is doing at present!

Its hosted by an American company. There is a feature at the bottom of your profile where you can offset the clock so you don't get jet lag at your computer!

OK - it says I've chosen a name that's the same as a member of this board... but I am that member, at least I think I am. I registered and got a password... Anyway, when I get over my blonde moment here I think it's pretty good! KAS
