Bless the 64 stone woman, i felt so sorry for her and she didnt make it, sadly i think at that weight it is more of a mental problem than a physical one and its very sad that she wasnt looked after before she got so fat. Her little girls were devastated when she died i watched Dragons den too, seems they are really only interested in going in with a dead cert, not risk takers and as Kelly said, very obnoxious and supercillious prats! eileen xx ps i can say prats on here cos Kelly said it first

I love Gok from How to Look Good Naked. He's so sweet and gives confidence where it is truly needed. Do you know he used to be about 21 stone? - he's great, encouraging everyone to get their bangers out and love what they have, rather than go down the cosmetic surgery route. And my hubby and my 9 year old son love that program too. (hubby quite often sheds a tear when said woman makes it to the catwalk).
However, I also like Dragon's Den. From a business point of view, it's really interesting and they give fantastic advice. They tend to get tetchy when people come in very ill-prepared, don't know their sums and over-estimate the value of their company. And I do feel sorry for those who hyper-ventilate and come over all sweaty, but it's not called Dragon's Den for nothing.

Oh it was terrible!! I knew the lady in quesion, well at least had met her several times at trade fairs etc, in fact she gave me a Limpet to test some years ago.
But in never ceases to amaze me how people go on that programme, so completely unprepared and with no hard facts and figures. I am anything but a good businesswoman, but even I would know to be prepared!
But dont you think that the programme makers choose these people deliberately to make a spectacle of them? Knowing that bunch of hard nuts will tear them to shreds and make mincemeat out of them?
Like Kelly, I cant be bothered to watch it anymore, it makes me cringe. I think that if they showed genuinely interesting ideas, well presented, worth funding, and then do a follow up later on if successful, the programme would actually keep the viewers interest, rather than cause us to switch off in droves, as I know plenty of other friends who are doing so too.

I really like the programme and if people are going to be successful in business they need to go prepared. No matter how much money you had you wouldn't want to invest it in someone who didn't know what they were talking about. There are plenty of people who do get investment and it is those with either really good products (did anyone see the one with the students reverse osmosis water trolly thing? - Brilliant) or sometimes even if the product isn't great, they think the person is worth investing in. Only a few weeks ago I watched a follow up programme showing how well the people who achieved investment are getting on and what is happening with their products.
You have to have the 'funny' disaster pitch's as well though as car crash telly is what appeals to the masses, otherwise why would X-factor be so popular!?
As for Gok, he is lovely!

I like Dragons Den, when they have a great product, researched its value in the market place and dont over sell its worth. That has been proven time and time again. The lady with the limpet pad was ill prepared, didnt get her facts right and they tore her to shreds but she put herself up for it and the programme has run long enough now for anyone to be able to see what they are up against IMHO. Deborah has horses and is not stupid.. that lady should have been aware. Not that I eould pick Deb as a friend bit too sharp and I hate her grey suit! Trinny and Suzanna or him off HTLGN would certinaly sort out that part of her dress sense.
PPPPP that is the key for entering the DD
There have been some great products and great inventors and they have got what they needed to get them started. I have even gone out and bought the afro carabean sauce that a guy went on there with and it is so successful now. I have been after the plug to save electric when you have appliances on standby and learned a lot from those guys presentation and they didnt take up the offer but it gave them a market stall on TV.
I also LOOOOVe how to look good naked, that guy is so looovely to all of the ladies making you all feel good about yourself.. being a large person.. he makes me feel good! and because he is the person he is he makes them all feel comfortable and he certainly knows what he is talking about. Not sure about the RED Hair ( even by my standards as I love red hair!) but the style was way out man! but her makeup looked fab.. and she looked fab.. Me thinks about putting myself up for it!
I didnt see the 64 stone lady though programme and sad to hear she did in fact die.. what a real shame.. and for her children.
