Oh what a spoilsport! Why cant we have a stupid debate???! unfortunately the thread got nasty and the owner of the stallion saw it - i felt awful having started the thread so from now on won't ask for opinions about stallions on here. Back then the stallion in question had only recently been imported and was lacking in topline and was still a little immature - now he looks much better. The people at the stud are really lovely and very helpful :-)

I know nothing about breeding, and was wondering why the cremello stallion's website said 'no dilute mares' - what does this mean and why would they stipulate it please? Just curious...

i think it might be as a cremello crossed with a buckskin or palomino could well give another cremello which could potentially lead to a future rival for the original stallion. Cremello warmblood's are pretty rare in this country and the stud's will have dilute mares of their own they'll use to try and breed more cremellos.
