cats can still get flu even when vaccinated but if they aren't all runny noses and sneezing i wouldn't stress too much about the cat flu op. conjunctivitis spreads like wildfire if it's flu related conjunctivitis they would be all snotty and horrid too so if it's just a sore eye going round just get the over the counter stuff. I know how you feel i am having one of those months too vets will often let you pay at the end of the month though if you think there's a chance it may even be flu related. it is all too easy too lecture people if there outlook on things isn't as rosy as yours but i am sure op only asked for advice not a dressing down of her life situations and decisions let's leave that rubbish with the old board.

sweetie you do realise that you can't hide behind silly pseudonyms nowadays so try to show a little decorum here, there is a time and a place for anons and i don't believe it to be this forum anymore.
hope you have what you need OP and that they are all healthy bundles of fun soon. It's miserable when they are unwell!
Kx

:-) :-) thanks they seem better if he gets any worse i will take him to the vets just cancelled a few dd's will be paying for it next month but hey ho loaded next month
also moved to a new area so not yet had to use a vet round here dont think they would givecredit to someone they don't know will they :-)
oh a worst enemy never had one of those does that mean i get included in the club where people have stalkers (childish i know ) so lets all grow up a little eh !
i am a really nice person
just one thing i wanted to ask though with womers i buy high street ones i bought panacur for cats to worm them this time but have been told by some that a vet said they are useless, now dont want this to sound the wrong way, oh well here goes, is that true or is it that the vet it trying to make us buy from him
it just once my mums cat had ear mites was told to go vet as high street stuff didnt work well it did and cleared it up fine
was it luck or do we not always need to buy from the vet (probably upsetting you here varkie sorry ):-)

Your vet is both right & wrong about high street wormers.
Things like Bob Martin & similar wormers that you can just pick up off the shelf aren't worth the money you would spend on them - they just aren't as strong as they need to be. The same applies to most off the shelf pet medication.
You can however buy products for worming which are strong enough - generally these will not be stocked on the shelf, and you will have to ask the store for them. Panacur is one of these, and should be just fine. I buy all my cat & dog wormers from my local horse feed store.

panacur is good it is what a lot of zoos use to worm all their animals, also good is drontal (only a couple of quid a tablet) but one of my boys is in the 1% of cats with an allergy to it! i don't half pick them! oh and ptoooey-i spit on bob martin products...... (not that i condone spitting, filthy habit!)
