OK, here goes: * how big is your horse/pony? 15.1hh * how big is their stable? approx 10ft by 16ft (long & thin) * do you have rubber matting?(if so what type?) No * what type of bedding do you use and why? Straw, supplied with livery & is cheap. * on a scale of 1-10 , 1 being very dirty and 10 super clean, how clean is the bedding? 5 (because horse tends to eat it) * what size is the bed? (l,w,d) 10ft by 10 ft by about 10 inches deep. * how long does it take to clean? 20 minutes * how do you dispose of the waste? Once well rotted on the muckheap a man comes and takes it away to use in his garden centre for free.

how big is your horse/pony? 15.3
how big is their stable? 10 x 12 (biggest on the yard) do you have rubber matting?(if so what type?) yes but don't know what type
what type of bedding do you use and why? shavings, I would rather have chopped straw but he eats it
on a scale of 1-10 , 1 being very dirty and 10 super clean, how clean is the bedding? he is the filthiest hirse I have ever known in a stable so he only has half a bale of bedding and it all gets thrown away every time he stays in, so the bed is always brand new when he goes in it, but black and orange in the morning. He is so messy that there are never any balls of po, it's just all mashed in.
what size is the bed? (l,w,d) 10ft by 7ft and about 3 inches deep
how long does it take to clean? 10 mins, just sweep it all out
how do you dispose of the waste? muck heap which burns constantly

how big is your horse/pony? 10hh and 15.1hh how big is their stable? 12 x 12 --they have one each do you have rubber matting?(if so what type?) Yup, bog standard stuff, not self draining. what type of bedding do you use and why? I don't. The neds are free to wander in and out as they please--they tend to wee outside in their woodchip paddock how long does it take to clean? Including mucking out the turnout pen, probably about 20 mins. Depends how much the horses try to help /break things/overturn the wheelbarrow etc how do you dispose of the waste? Well, I need to raise the ground level round the outside of the turnout pen so I'm currently piling up poo and covering it in dead hay.....it seems to rot down pretty quickly which is annoying really, since I'd hoped I'd have got up to a decent level by now! At any rate all that will be topped off with soil next year and then planted with grass and trees and I'll have to find a different place for all the poo......

ok...
how big is your horse/pony? - He is 18hh
how big is their stable? - The stable is about 12x17, very big and airy, american barn style, he can reach over his wall and groom the horse in the next stable to him.
do you have rubber matting?(if so what type?) - No, used to, but he is so messy, I had to have quite a deep bed, so wasn't saving me money, and took longer to muck out, is it was hard the sweep (had the bobbles on top)
what type of bedding do you use and why? - Straw, we get it off the yard owner, is fairly cheap, and makes lovely big warm beds
on a scale of 1-10 , 1 being very dirty and 10 super clean, how clean is the bedding? - Probably 8 on the top, as he always has clean on top every day, but he is deep littered, so the bottom will be horrible! But it keeps him warm, as he has a nice deep bed, and never lays on the dirty stuff as it is right at the bottom
what size is the bed? (l,w,d) It is probably about 12x12 and prob about 50cm deep
how long does it take to clean? Takes me about 15mins to muck out, taking out the poo and the really wet, leaving the rest. I usually get a full barrow load out a day.
how do you dispose of the waste? On the muck heap, when rotted down gets taken away for fertilers

:)Ours live out but we do have stables, Our neds range from 12.3 to a 16hh shire x dutch.
We have 7 stables most are about 12x12 but 2 are only about 10x12 the cats have one and the pony the other.
No rubber matting but i would like some.
I prefer straw bedding when we do use the stables but cant get it so its shavings.
When the horses do stay in the beds are kept clean probably a 7 but its easy when they dont stay in much!
IM very fussy about beds they have to be deep. It covers all but about 2ft at the front of the stable where the water goes.
How long it takes to clean depends whos doing it, takes me ages but i like to lean on the fork and watch the neds ;D
On the muckheap, when it gets too big the landowner removes it, one of the few things he is consistant about!

how big is your horse/pony? 13.2hh how big is their stable? 12 x 12
do you have rubber matting?(if so what type?) yes, lite Mats (the ones that click together and are, urm, light! what type of bedding do you use and why? Abiouse. Because it is very absorbent and is very, very easy to muck out
on a scale of 1-10 , 1 being very dirty and 10 super clean, how clean is the bedding? 8
what size is the bed? (l,w,d) Not sure what you mean? The bedding takes up about a 3rd of the floor space.
how long does it take to clean? about 3 minutes! It is SO absorbent that I only need to take the wet out every third day or so. The top of the bed stays clean and fresh so the droppings come out daily then I throw the bed up to air every three days. Even though I don't take the wet out every day, the mats are quite dry underneath the bedding. how do you dispose of the waste? Muck heap - because it's hemp it decomposes really easily.
