It would totally depend on the horse in question. E.g temperament etc etc etc ... you get my drift i am sure.

Connemara; I bought Connor my connemara when he was just 4 and everyone was surprised he was so young because he was so good, well behaved and willing to learn. Although he was just broken, you could barely call him green because anything he couldn't do, you could teach him. Definately a good horse if it's your first youngter. People are still surprised he's 6 now - they reckon he's a beentheredoneitall ten year old or something!

I've put Arab - would love one:-)
Emi - you shouldn't underestimate yourself - you have put a lot into Connor and are always thinking about him first:-) I wish I had been as thoughtful as you at the same age!

I've voted other. I'd go for a native but then I'm biased towards the smaller scale of equine! Something smallish and hardy (I've had an Arab youngster and he was fab but as I never grew very tall I personally don't need a large horse).

For me it has to be Warmblood (KWPN) or Irish Sport Horse (3/4 TB, 1/4ID)

Would have to be another Arab! They are so bright and quick-thinking, and just so much fun to be around - and beautiful, of course!
