Dont you think that alot of the boys names are traditional, whereas girls names can be quite unique??

I think boys names are more traditional as they carry on the family name, my son is Luke Robert, but his grandfather and great grandfather were bother Robert Luke, so it kind of kept the link going! My brother in law has named his son Oakley, have to say it reminds me of sunglasses though!

I would like Roscoe, Theo, Oscar, Rupert or Percy but only if i have well paid job/rich husband so they can go to an independant school. Sadly i can't see this happening so if i have my own children i will probably have to hold back and call them Kevin or Darren or Jordan so they will fit in at the local school LOL

My little boy is Evan James- 19 weeks and 2 days old! Evan because we like the name and James is my brothers middle name. He was going to be James Evan til we realised his initials would be JEF!

I am not a fan of traditional names at all, esp boys. Quite a few of our chums have had children recently and all with the usual names, which don't get me wrong - are nice names, just not for me! I like Luca, Lucas, Oscar (had a trauma about whether to call the cat this, but then thought if we do we can't then have a baby with the same name!). Also like Finn, Riley, Ripley, Digby, Jackson.

My son is William and so of course I love that name. You can do lots with it - in America he would be Billy as a boy and Bill as a man. Here in England he is Will. He prefers William and corrects anyone who says anything else (he's six so I hope he lightens up on this point). Unfortunately, you can also get 'Willy' out of it, but hey, what name can't a group of seven year olds turn into a cruel playground taunt? If someone's name won't work, they just call you 'Stinky'.
He is so named cause its a family name but also because I saw Shakespeare in Love a few days before he was born, so naming him Will seemed like a very good idea at the time.
No Michaels? I always liked Michael, my Dad's name. No prizes for guessing second name of son.

i love the name connor possibly because thats my connemara's name....! i think if i ever had a boy he wouldn't be called something traditional or english like robert, percy or william... but it doesnt matter with boys anyways because as soon as they get older than 10 they start calling each toehr by their surnames anyways! if i'd been a boy i would have been a maximillan or what ever the long version of max is! which i really like. but i tihnk its true- boys names are more resptriced.. i mean you couldn't calla boy skylar or emerald could you?
