Hope none of you mind me starting this...doing so in the hope that we dont lose touch! Oh a scary thought indeed!!
No more happenings with the wicked sisters herre so all is quiet and I shall get back to normal soon..I have felt really down over all this. Stopped smoking yesterday...oh I could really murder a fag right now!
Oh has said if I want he will drive me down to EMW demo weekend!!! I really want to go so I shall have to email EMW..I wonder if there is anything nearby which OH can take himself off to rather than be at the demo all day? Also need to find a B&B nearby as I dont fancy camping out..used to love it but now I admit I enjoy a comfortable bed!!
Off for now and hope to see you all here soon.
Take Care

Hiya Lynn, glad to see you here!
Very happy to hear you've had no more incidents. It's typical, isn't it? Just as you give up smoking, or go on a diet, something lousy happens, and you could murder a fag or a huge bar of chocolate!!
It's wet and miserable here today - I hope it's dry for EMW's Demo Day. Have a good time, all those going!
We've got a model boat event this weekend which'll be REALLY LOVELY if it's raining. We have had an arrangement in place for several months that my two boys were coming to stay (they live with my ex-hubby). Yesterday, I had a phone call from the youngest (who's 8) saying they'd rather go to a christening. Seemed a bit odd - christening over playing with model boats? Anyhow, I said fine, whatever. So the OH rang last night to double check (he didn't believe me), spoke to ex, who said, yes, they're bored with model boats (eh?). Two hours later the older one rings (10) who says, we've changed our minds can we come now??
I have a feeling the ex is playing games again. We get everything moving along happily, and he has to go and b****r it up. Argh, families!!!
D'you remember I mentioned yesterday the son of a friend who's in hospital? Turns out he's got lymphoma. Poor kid. He's 19.
I will go back to the "old" DG and pick up on the "personals" later!
Regards,
Jenna xx

ooohh...good to see that we are all gradually finding our way here!
Jenna..I hope things work out with your boys..yes families can be the pits sometimes and your ex should not be trying to influence the boys nor play blooming mind games..its so unfair.
Prayers for your friends son..how very sad..especially at such a young age. Hugs to your friend.xxx
Lucyloo..looking forward to the demo and hope to be able to catch up with you? Glad there are some men going but I was just feeling a bit guilty that my OH gets dragged around to all the horsey things I want to go to and was wondering if there was a golf course or something nearby? lol
Aberlemno..whoopee to you too! Enjoy your shopping!

Oh - well I definitely put a capital J for Jude after what Lynn said, and I've got a small one too. How very annoying! Lunchtime now and then taking daughter to station to meet friend & go on hols. Perhaps back later if I can cope with this new format. Very odd feeling at the mo

Oh, I wish I was coming! I spent my teenage years in Hereford...
Oh Lynn, no wonder you have been down! do you no end of good to get away1
Jenna- does sound odd. I am very thnakful that due to superhuman control on both sides - though some cruel things were said - ex and I have managed to stay cordial over children. But we did have 30 years together, and perhaps that helped. It probably also helps that I still love him so much.
When I think how much Jacob has helped me, then I do thin another man might be the way forward. But I'm too busy, too terrified and .... probably not yet ready.
Alas all my fantasies involve a very lovely man who is said not to be in the market for wife no 2 - he's a widower.

Yup - me too - I put in capital "J" - no good!!
Things are a lot better than they used to be with the ex - entirely down to the OH, who is happy to take over if I'm about to explode. The ex unfortunately knows exactly what to say to wind me up!
We were together for 9 years, and when we first split up did get on really well (which I why I was happy to leave the boys with him in the first place), but when his new love interest came along about a year later, it went pearshaped. The boys frequently ask questions about money and jobs and stuff, that small boys don't normally ask!
Glad you get on so well with your ex, rosemary hannah. There's certainly no love lost between the ex and me any longer. In fact, I look at him and wonder what I saw in him in the first place!
It IS difficult to know what to do for the best. I very much enjoy my own company, something the OH is having difficulty coming to terms with, you also don't want to be hurt, and suchlike. However I think sometimes if you meet the right person, you simply have to take the plunge and get wet! The OH was my best friend long before he was anything else, and the rest was just sort of a natural progression.
REALLY quiet day at work today, so may be on here quite a lot!

Oh what a lovely pic of nelly! I cant wait to meet her..and everyone else too of course.
Rosemary..you are welcome to stowaway with us! To be honest Rosemary..I have always found the fantasies to be much better than the realities! Stick with Jacob for now..much more pleasure to be gotten and much less hassles!! Your time will come and maybe Mr "not in the market" is just being choosy..which is where you come in..what better choice! When is your Birthday Rosemary..it is very close to mine!
Jude..you can change to a capital if you go in and modify your profile.
Jenna..your ex sounds like mine..a bit of a plonker!!

Well here goes, and let me say here and now I don't like it a bit! I thought the last format was spot on.This reminds me of some crazy office plan. Now you see it,now you dont, windows and doors everywhere, and most things incomprehensible. If this dosn't arrive at Scary 16, I'm off pronto.....

Oh tl, don't go - you're here, you're here! Blessed thing still don't have a spell checker! Lynn, I'm 8th - which as luck would have it is the only full day of work I'm getting next week, as Mrs Not-This-Week has struck again! Still the local Agricultural Show is on Wednesday, and so at least I can spent Tuesday getting ready. Ducan leaves thursday, which will not be so good.
Today, Mace was an old donkey, so we are hoping to drive at some quiet point tomorrow. Meanwhile I am dressmaking - had to change the ruddy pattern so much I might just as well have designed the wretched thing!
Jenny so very glad you like the poem - it is G M Hopkins in his version of the philosophy of Duns Scotius - I have set reflections on this philosophy as an assignement for students this next year. I had no space for an acknowledgement, due to shortage of words!
