Hi Laylaw, You came out to do bowen on my boy James a while ago, he's retired now so sadly the days of uncontrolled canters are gone (until I learn to run a bit faster). But he is still in great health. Hope you are well Carla

glad to know he is still going and enjoying life if not under saddle. I am fine. Not in Bucks any more but Rutland. I am fine but my mare has been off with kidnesy problems. Finally sorting her out though now we know what it is. Have you got a new horse to ride, thinking about it??

No riding for me at the moment, all my time is spent taking him out in hand to try and keep him active (not sure it's very good for me though with all those hills, lol !!). Pleased to hear that your mare is on the mend, they're a worry

I have had my boy at widmer for about a year now, my sister has had her horse there 2 years, although it has its down points it is a good place to keep horses andeveryone gets on well, they basically hire out their show ground so allsorts goes on there, They had chiltern and thames qualifyers there this year as well as smaller shows with an array of classes. I am in Prestwood lovelylace so not far from you.

Hi Rosie,
That's funny, my friend bought a big bay mare called Annie from Shana and took her to live in Cornwall, the riding there is so beautiful, far better than here, you're very lucky !

Where in Lane End, I live near there.
Are you at Chequers or Finings?

I'm in Bourne End, as are 4 of my gang. The riding here is virtually non-existent unless you like lots of roadwork, but the land I rent is comparatively cheap. I would love to move mine to Laylaw's old yard for the better facilities, but unfortunately finances won't permit that!
Jen, who comes on here sometimes also, rents the field immediately opposite mine, where she keeps her boy, General.
Clipper, if it happens to be Chequers that you're moving to, please say hello to Sally (with Arnie and Alfie) for me.

I looked at Chequers - good facilities. Though the horse I was buying failed its vetting so I stopped the sale. Othwerwise I would have gone there, 10 mins from home.
Laylaws facilities are also very good, off road hacking, school etc.
I also know Bourne End very well, how do you manage hacking or do you box up and go?
