Crikey, this feels like that awful time at the beginning of the courses at work where everyone has to introduce themselves Anyway .... I'm a single parent of a cat, Tigger (he was a twin but his sister, Tasha, died ) and a horse, Saffy. I got Saffy on 11th September 2004 when she was 5. She's a 15.1hh steel grey (dappling as we speak) RISH with TONS of attitude. At the age of 6 she was barging her way up the herd pecking order She's also the reason I 'found' IH. The first day down to the field she walked most of the way on her back legs. When she was rearing over a dozen times in my lesson it was time to do something about it (my poor lips have been split and my face bashed about on more than one occasion). Got Sarah Dent out who sorted her in one session We are the case history in Perfect Partners! Infamous or what? Anyway ... she's now equally opinionated and equally bossy but she's also the sweetest, kindest little bossy boots that I know I would love to buy a friend for her (well, for me), my next horse (when I win the lottery) will be a Luso Anyway, here she is (she's also in my avatar) looking like butter wouldn't melt ....

Hi there, my name is Anya and I joined the DG about a week ago. I am the proud owner of a mare called Malika(very pretty palomino but no papers-don't even know whay breed she is), her second foal, yearling River Vali (a connemara x) gelding and Quismi(known as Kym)gelding, also no papers (he was rescued by a friend as a foal). However I am often looking after friends horses, as we tend to pool our fields, so that none get over grazed(a very good arrangement). In fact at the moment I have three extras. I live in south west France and although it is great living here it is not as easy as these programmes on the tv would suggest. It is particulary difficult as a horse owner, trying to find feed, tack etc. But the riding is out of this world!!! I also have 2 dogs, Belle and Edmund and 4 cats, Kelly , Monty, Sooty and Weeble.

Hi all I'm another new person. I recently had to retire my Sec D so I don't have a horse to ride at the moment. I'm just starting to look for a new friend to replace him. His name is Isme (as in Woaisme!).

Hello everyone. I am one of those dreaded adult learners, returning to riding after a gap of many years. I bought my first horse (since my teenage years) this summer and it has been a roller coaster of emotions. (I just wrote about it on Kelly's thread about feeling the need to be perfect). Gosh, this is like having kids!
I am sure I will be popping back to ask for advice from you all in no time.

Hello All! I'm very new, just this minute! I'm over the hill but still love my horses - a brood mare, yearling, 2 year old and a big fat cob to blob about on. Hope to speak to some of you soon but I'm now going to try and find my way around this forum (hope I don't make too many mistakes!)
