Hi, we show our Section D at local riding clubs and do some Agricultural shows which are not too far away from home. Recently took her to Denbigh and Flint which was our biggest show we've been to. It wasn't as scary as I thought and I really enjoyed it although that wasn't hard as I am only the groom. I dont know why but we often do better at other shows than we do at the local riding club shows. Anyone else find this?

'Allo, I'm Steevi. I currently show at local level though moving up to doing County/BSPS with my section D next year, and some HOYS WHP woo . My other pony may be coming out as a novice 138cm SP or 143cm SHP with her new rider. Also compete Western to national level with them both, and have done some jumping, dressage, le trec etc.

Hello,
I compete BSJA and do the odd unaff dressage show; we scored 66% in our first Novice 21 test this year.. very proud. I used to do workers (pics below) but have recently started riding bitless putting pay to that! But the sj is where my heart lies x

Hi I show - but then you probably knew that already. Pie is now retired but I still have Floyd who was 4th at HOYS in the intermediate this year. He also won the Best Turned Out which was pretty amazing. I think it would be good if everyone in showing was nicer to each other - there is such a lot of bitchiness -

HI daisy Is Floyd your WHP pony too?? You kindly rode my baby Connemara in a WHP class, that strange pony that went slower as he got round!? I still do some showing with the Connies, but as they've been baby ponies mostly, I've only taken them out on a handful of occasions. I do some dressage and S.J too at novice level. My current 4yo, came to me from Ireland and had unfortunately been hunting as part of the breaking process, so he thought it was a great wheeze to just go mad and out canter all the other competitors. So I've been working on slowing down! On the up side, he's a bold jumper. My homebred 2 yo filly has done well in-hand, being first at the South of England as a yearling. But she might not grow tall enough, I couldn't part with her though. Before the Connies I had a go at showing in Riding Horse classes, doing some of the HOYS qualifiers but not getting higher than a 6th once. I used to find the atmosphere at Ponies UK good, the judges offered some advice and fellow competitors too.. now it all seems so rushed and packed classes.

Hi Connymel It is Daisy's mother actually - we share the same logg in. We remember your connie very well - just sorry Daisy couldn't do better for you that day. She has always been very grateful for the opportunity because at the time she didn't have anything to ride at all. It was very soon afterwards that she was offered the ride on Overdrive for the Andrews and then after that we started showing Pie again - so it must have been early 2003. Things have been really exciting since then and she has Floyd now for another 5 seasons! She is at university in Bristol so one at home is enough. All started with that "spare ride" you gave her - so we cannot thank you enough. We will look out for you next season - just goes to confirm my belief that there are nice people in the showing world, you just have to look for them. Merry Christmas

I show ride for and live at Cherrytop stud who are breeders and producers. We mainly do M+M classes but have random SHP, ISRT, SPs etc thrown in! Compete most every weekend during the season, PUK/NPS mainly with a few HOYS classes here and there. I myself have two baby coloureds, one retired SP, and one up and coming ISRT/Small riding horse and their all far too spoilt and loved LOL!

I used to compete a lot - evented up to CCI** level, SJ to foxhunters and dressaged to medium. Best horse went lame, got married, had 4 children. Now have young TB who is currently doing unaff dressage, CT, SJ to 3'6", and i'm hoping to do a bit of BE eventing later this year, time and finance permitting :-)
