Foxglen Adare RID 29-May-94 - 18-Apr-06 If I should grow weak And pain keep me from my sleep Then you must do what must be done For this last battle can not be won You will be sad I understand Don't let your grief then stay your hand For this day more than all the rest Your love for me must stand the test We've had so many happy years What is to come can hold no fears You'd not want me to suffer so The time has come to let me go Take me where my needs they'll tend And please stay with me till the end Hold me firm and speak to me Until my eyes no longer see I know in time that you will see the kindness that you did for me Although my tail it's last has swished From pain and suffering I've been saved Please do not grieve it must be you Who has this painful thing to do We've been so close we two these years Don't let your heart hold back the tears Rest easy now my beautiful boy, Blessed Be.

Such a shame, I know how much he meant to you - as do all of us with our horses.
RIP Finnigan

There are no fences at Rainbow Bridge, he will be able to run pain free and eat grass all day...

I was so sorry to hear this Margaret. That's a lovely photo that you've posted, I hope you can remember him that way.
Even with this so fresh in your mind you took the trouble to help me - thank you.
RIP Finnigan.

You tried all you could to help Finnegan, and made a brave decision when nothing more could be done. I'm sure he is now happy and healthy at Rainbow Bridge, and you have wonderful photos to remember him by x
