cheers guys, lets hope that Scot (vet) can atleast illuminate something??? I'd rather get him down as loss of use, than sell him on to be honest- think he'll just go from pillar to post and have an awfull time- fingers crossed something turns up!- as would so much easier to have a reason for these problems.!

Oh Charlie!!! Poor you!! You aren't having a nice time of it are you.
When's the vet coming out? My old mare had brain tumours and acted in a pretty similar way. She could be fantastic one minute and the next totally flip out.
Big hugs to you and am I seeing you Saturday? If so, bring your hat!!!

Yep Saturday at 1.00 if remember rightly- will have to discuss with you about the tumour things- tell me more!!!! he can be trotting along in a beatifull outline, a picture of balance and harmony and then for no apparent reason he just chucks himself sideways and then bolts- hollow and mad almost. He went through a period of say 2 montsh without doing it and then started it up again- why I don't know!!! he had never done it to Ben- who was obviously thinking I was nuerotic and then teh otehr day- he was happily schooling, shoulderin, half pass- fantastic and relaxed and then he just had a turn- no obvious spook, just a freak out, headup and bolt- very odd!

If things ease a bit try contacting TTT. I know I've seen people there with highly talented but totally erratic behaving horses - they will give you an honest opinion.
