you are supposed to ignore the mud LOL the important areas are mud free so she doesn't get rubbed. she is oiut without a rug on and I don't want to clear too much of the mud off her she's not exactly in show condition is she, bless LOL

the important areas are mud free so she doesn't get rubbed. I hate to say it but there's mud under the bridle & by the looks of it the rug too so it won't be comfortable for her. Why not brush the mud off with a plastic curry comb & dandy brush as this won't remove any oils needed for keeping her warm & I'm sure she'll roll again when she goes out if she wants to. Hate to say it but it's pure lazyness not to brush her off.

LOL !!!! goodness me, she has dried mud on some areas which are not in danger of being rubbed. if her throat lash rubs then I need to look at the fit of her bridle not my grooming technique.
she is the type of horse that would let me know immediatly if she was uncomfortable or not happy, trust me, she is clean in the areas that may rub. If not, you'd have photos of me beingn dumped on my head, she's not the sort that will tolerate anything she's not happy with, and more to the point, I wouldn't do anything that would make her uncomfortable. photos can be deceptive!

How can you see mud under the bridle baloo2? I can just mke out the bridle itself! You must have optical zoom eyes

Must be my eyes, I can't see any mud at all? Unless I am just so used to seeing mud strewn ponies that I have forgotten what a clean one looks like!!
Eh - I can post replies now, thank the lord, I thought me throat had been cut when i couldnt' reply just now!!
BTW - Looking good Ginger, lovely fat and fluffy, just how they should be and very poised for a baby I must say!!

Thankyou for all the comments everyone, good and bad. She really is coming along, she's riding on minimal rein contact and is really a lovely ride. I am so proud of her I love her to bits xx

Take no notice. A muddy horse is a happy one IMO. She's Welsh Section D isn't she? She reminds me of one of my mares
