I can't work this thing out. I already had a photobucket account from ages ago and this picture was already on it but it didnt go into the post. When I try to get more pictures from my 'my pictures' folder photobucket says 'access denied' I think we need step by step instructions somewhere.

Chavhorse
use the [ img ] [ /img ] tags (without spaces) around just the url of the image (you don't need to have url=) in it. I've edited your post in the General Horse Section.

Bulletin Boards / Forums like this permit the use of what is known as UBBC ( Universal Bulletin Board Code ) which is a way of formatting the text that you enter, and to add links to images, urls (web addresses) and e-mail links. To do this you just surround the text you want to change with a pair of UBBC 'tags' as you would speech marks to enlcose quotes, "Rather like this" - and you must use them in pairs; the first to start the formatting and the last to end it. So to turn text bold you'd enter (b)this text is bold(/b) (b) starts the formatting and (/b) ends it Although when you use UBBC you MUST CHANGE THE ( and ) to [ and ] respectively. I'm using ( and ) to avoid the text I've just typed from being formatted. However when I use the square brackets containg a 'b' the text is bold and when I use the square brackets containing '/b' it turns off the bold formatting. You can use u to underline text and i to italicise text and turn each off by using the [/i]/i /u etc to stop them, remembering to contain each in square brackets. You can combine as many as you wish to create bold and italic and underlined etc text, just remember that each 'start formatting instruction' e.g. 'b' must be followed by a '/b' to turn it off at some point and that these must be in square brackets. The photograph in my signature, below this posting, is 300 by 200 pixels in size and is included by having the following in my profiles signature box: (img)http://www.erehwon.demon.co.uk/sam/SamFlyC.jpg(/img) Again the 'real' text has square brackets [ and ] in place of the curved ones ( and ).
A useful reference for UBBC can be found at www.yourbritishvillage.com/helpfiles/using_ubbc.htm
Hope this helps....
