Ive done a little bit of work on the forum (sorted out images and re-done the welcome wording so that it reads a lot easier)
Ive changed the email address for there as well

Re updatein teh UK Horsewatch site. It's an extensive job & it's being done in spare (joke!) time by someone who's under pressure at work at the moment. The important thing will be to get it right first time, to ensure that all info & all links are absolutely correct. We cannot have too many duplications of info as it gets confusing, [particularly if there are discrepancies]. Horsewatch is a police-supported organisation so everything that goes on the official site must be above-board, all crimes must have ref no's etc. It will be used by police as well as civillian personnel. The wait will be worth it, hopefully!

I hope that UK Horsewatch members have been in contact to discuss this Forum, as Horsewatch is a name only to be used for police-backed groups. We do need to keep the integrity of the organisation as well as utilise all of the resources available. Hopefully we can all work together and make a bigger impact on equine crime!

Is it not the same horsewatch as before as the Mods are horsewatch reps for that area. Is it not the same?

It's not connected to UK Horsewatch Alliance or police backed as yet, but hoping that will be resolved. So the Forum is NOT officially part of the national Horsewatch organisation at the moment, and some of the information is out of date. Having said that, I like the lay-out of the site and once talks have been completed it should work very well.

rj.. ifor williams are market leaders.. and sales are extremly high compared to other makes combinded so you will realistically have more stolen and they are easy sold on.. as many respect the make..
I am willing to help as much as I can.. have said so.. oldgreymare always willing to pass on info..and help.. as you know.. PM me any time..
I would like to see community police officers making it important.. as the level of thefts is unacceptable.. both tack and horses.. might have to make a PIB of myself at Dunstable station again...

Hi all, a warning to all those IH people living in west Gloucestershire, specifically thye Forest of Dean. I have just been informed that two bay cobs have been stolen this weekend from Drybrook. We have also had reports of a strange car lurking at the yard area where we keep our girl. The driver was seen walking around the yard and took off quickly when he realised the neighbours had seen him. I have checked the stolen horse forum and can see no entry from Glos. police re the bay cobs. On a similar theme, a number of dogs have also 'disappeared' from this area over the past few months. There are some nasty people out there, be vigilant!!

Hi Kevin
Could you put up a new thread about this as well on the Stolen Section. A lot of people might not look at this thread and the valuable information you have given could get overlooked?

Just to let everyone know, there is an equine crime prevention day being held at Towerlands on the 29th May. Hope to see lots of you there, lots of useful stuff going on throughout the day and a tombola type thingy with great prizes.

New improved look, layout and way of working - www.tracingequines.co.uk/forum/index.phpSad news - Sarah Ward is leaving Glocs Horsewatch shortly. Melanie Campbell is taking her place. We are sorry to see her leave and wish her all the best for the future
