Howdy,
Just a quick question (because I have nothing to reference it to). What does it feel like to dislocate then relocate a finger?
2 weeks ago I was hacking Lady and we had a bit of an incident which involved a bit of a rodeo. I stayed on but somehow hurt my hand. It is around the little finger and knuckle. When it happened I was in a lot of pain and after I got back to the yard I opened and closed my figners a few times. This resulted in my little finger crunching. I got a bit paniky until it gave a big crack then stopped. Ever since then it hasnt clicked by I have had a lot of pain around the knuckle (which is still a little swollen) and on the inside of my finger. The joint itself feels week and I cant do much with it (amazing how much you use your little finger). Every now and again it will also lock and I have to move it with my other hand to get it going again.
Does this sound like my finger was dislocated?

Eeek sounds sore. Having never *frantically touches wood* dislocated anything before I can't offer much advice, could you not get it checked out??

Worth getting checked out. Sounds like it needs an X-ray to check. Hope you aren't in too much pain. x

Can you move the tip of the finger? Not by pushing it with your other hand, I mean flex it voluntarily? A very common injury to fingers is detaching the ligament that attaches to the last joint. So, yes you could have dislocated it, and you could also ave detached the ligament. Either way, time is of the essence in getting it checked out, because if anything is wonky, the longer it's left like that, the more difficult it is to fix.
