I think just say to the bloke sorry I'm female it comes with the pretty packaging and he'l have to deal with it - I'm sure you cope with him farting in bed or leaving the loo seat up Some of us would never do such things! PMSL ROFL LOL

Portia try Evening Primrose it worls wonders, but I can bet some of what you are feeling is down to stress at the wedding..........it will probably settle down after the event!
To any ladies going through the 'other end of things' then again Evening Primrose and St John's Wort got me through all that night saweats hot flushes and all the other 'goodies' that happened then.........I did try HRT but it wasn't for me.........my Gp told me ' have a glass of wine each evening, some chocolate warm bath and put your feet up'.... so I did!
You will come out the other end with your sanity relatively intact and quite smug in the knowledge that the monthly faffing about is all over forever!

Echo Christine and others. Evening Primrose oil is a legend for PMT. Hope you're ok PB. Weddings are very stressful even if you think it's not at the time. I look back now at the fog that was mine and realise how stressed out I was.
Big hugs x

I hear you, Sister! I went to the doctors and informed them that I needed to be drugged if I were to get through the menopause with any friends or family at the other end of it. It had gone beyond grumpiness into fully fledged homicidal rage... The drugs did the trick and after 12 months on them I came off them and retained my normal more equable temperament. The flushes though, they continue on and off to this day. When anyone complains that they are cold I just look at them enviously, what is this thing called 'cold' Sorry Portiabuzz, didn't mean to hijack your thread, but really, I would ask for something to settle the hormonal swings if at all possible, PMT is not something that we women should have to put up with in the 21st century. After all, it's not like we can just retire with the vapours for a few days into a darkened room, sipping sherry is it?

and why can't we retire with the 'vapours' but with intravenous gin instead of sherry
