Is it true that you can't use an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress? Sure I read that somewhere, and it really put me off - I love my leccy blanket!

No I have not heard that, however the ones that are all memory foam 'hug' you and can overheat you without an electric blanket....

I was having a lot of back pain until I got a memory foam bed especially if I tried to sleep on my back. I found that the memory foam supported my back as I needed. I had a bed with posture springing and memory foam on top to start with and now have a pure memory foam one. I have never found any problem with over heating despite being the age when I have a lot of excess heat at times! Lol. I have noticed though that the posture sprung/ memory foam topped one was a lot firmer than the one I have now. I think this is something to be aware of - memory foam mattresses come in different types and some are a lot softer than others. I have a lot of problems sleeping on an ordinary mattress now which can make going on holiday a bit of problem1 I can highly recommend them.
