I feel like I've lost any grasp I ever had on style/what I like etc. I live in a rural area, ride and teach for work so spend all day in jods and seem to rarely venture into any big towns!! My local (very small) town has no clothes shops except one charity shop. This means that I don't walk past shop windows etc so have no idea what is around or what I like. I don't even know where to start looking for "normal" clothes, casual or otherwise, and have lots of (mostly family) social events this summer. Feel like such a country bumpkin and a fish out of water looking for girly stuff Please help me!

Shop online. High Street you can't go wrong with Cos, great style v reasonable. Quite slick. If you like a quirkier style, try Anthropologie.com. Just two suggestions, feel free to ignore. Am older than you but working in London feel I have to keep up!

I tend to go to outlet villages, you get big names there but at a fraction of the cost. At villages we go to there are Superdry, Berghaus, Gap, Ralph Lauren, Musto etc which tend to keep me going! Although at 33 weeks pregnant I now have the side profile of Mr Greedy, so all clothes shopping is temporarily suspended until I get my figure back... :-P

This made me laugh I had one of my twice yearly trips to the nearest city to buy clothes last week ready for going on holiday. I think it depends what your personal style is, Im driven mad by the cheap tat that is sold in most shops. Unlined dresses that are cut poorly and are so unflattering. But I dont want to spend a lot on clothes because my baby and horses come first! I track down a couple of brands that suit me and fit me and then buy it cheaper off ebay. Monsoon and Mantaray are my two favourites but I have quite a boho style so if you prefer a more slick look you wouldnt go for that at all. I think Im getting old as well, Im in my 30s and look at what the teenagers wear and just thinks its hideous lol

Oh have got to add my most stylish friend dresses entirely from charity shops and you'd never think it. She has a figure to die for which helps but she just has the knack for putting together an outfit. It looks like she spends a fortune on clothes but she spends peanuts.
