Anybody trained as one, know much about it? etc etc. Our local grooming "store" closed as it cost her too much in rent there are a handful in the area (i say this loosly as that can be over an hr away or more).

Not sure :/ have often wondered about it even just to be useful for the dogs i have. There seems to be a lot of people looking for groomers.

look into it, and see what courses there are... easy enough to set up from home, and have them come to you

Well my thoughts are to offer grooming (not trimming) and a bath for any dogs i sit. Mind you i may have 2 more liveries in the future :/ fingers crossed .....

I know a coupler of groomers. One sold me her horse to fund her course and the equipment she needed. But that's five years ago and she's still making a living from it. She set a bath etc up in the garage. Does collection and also walks etc, vet taxi...
The other works at a kennels and does all the grooming for the animals coming into kennels. so it isn't her sole income...
If you do it I think self employed must be better than being employed, after the initial graft to establish yourself. Good luck.
