I am looking to change from having to deal with BT as they have been charging us the wrong amounts on our bill for over a year and we ring up every month and they do nothing. Sick of them! So looking around for someone else for business phone and broadband, and the reviews for almost every company are shocking! I can't find one that has good reviews. Do any of you use a company that is good to deal with that you would recommend? I'm going round in circles trying to find someone to use but come up with awful reviews for them all. Dont want to jump out of the frying pan and in to the fire with another useless company!

Snowboo, sometimes I'm reluctant to admit this... But I work for BT. If you send me a PM with details of your problem, phone number, address, name, details of issue and calls you've made to try and resolve it, I might be able to help get it sorted.
Obviously, not in a position to recommend anyone else!

The other problem with going for an alternative is if you get line problems the line is still supplied by BT but if you have to report faults through a 3rd party you end up with each one blaming the other, that is why we have stuck with BT as we are very rural and the alternatives are seldom better. With BT if you can get past the call centres and raise the problem to a higher level - usually through persistence - you can get results.

Specialized - Virgin Media have their own line, as do Sky.
I swopped from VM two years ago, despite having a "bundle" my bills were still over £70 a month, which I couldn't afford, but VM so long as they got their money, couldn't have cared less. They wouldn't help me get a better deal so I changed to Talktalk. Now my phone/BB bill is around £30 a month, TV has freeview, I now have a mobile contract with them too at £10 a month (previously with 3 PAYG at £15 per month)
TT's customer care is a bit pants as it's based in the Philipines, but they do get the problems sorted quickly even if I can't understand them half the time.
At the end of the day, reviews aren't the end of the world if they are bad.. people have different needs. I couldn't be happier with TT, but I will never go back to VM

Try this website. My husband is a distributor for them and this is his web page. They do some of the best value gas, electric, phone and broadband and they are consistently voted the best for customer service. www.bill-savvy.co.uk

Specialized - Virgin Media have their own line, as do Sky. Not here they don't!! It's BT or nothing - quite often nothing!!

well they do here. I have two lines... one from BT (currently using as I'm with Talktalk)
and another that belonged to Telewest, who VM took over.

People are always saying we should change our bb to Sky or whatever as we would get better performance, but our problem is not with the bb provider it is all line-related and whoever provides the bb it come through the BT line so it is easier to have one company dealing with the whole process rather than Peter blaming Paul when there is a problem.

We have tooway satellite broadband where the signal comes from satellite. We don't have a landline at all. Tooway is expensive but it the only option here. The landline was not fast enough.
Sky don't use their own line they use the same line as BT. Virgin cable is not available here.
