Do you ever wake up in funny positions with your feline friend? What quirks do they have? Do they get quirkier as they get older? Growing up Salem was in the background when Kendra was here, I never really noticed til she died. Though he did get his share of cuddles and really enjoyed them, he was content to sleep at my feet while she got the top end, usually on me.. (chest or side depending on what position I was in). She's been gone 2yrs this July . Since then Salem has gotten more and more cuddly, now he sleeps on the pillow next to mine, quite often I will migrate to "his side" and if I wake up he is wrapped round my head, purring.. He will be 13 this year. Good going I think considering they both had a crap start and the vet said "if I could get them to six months I'd be laughing". Incidently my niece has their half brother and he is now showing signs of arthritis in his joints. Salem has DJD (Degenerative Joint Disease) and is now on a supplement which is working. Apart from that everything else is fine. Salem on his pillow

Yes, Moody-Blue definitely likes to be a hat too. Ever since she was a tiny kitten she has slept round my neck or on top of my head. We're both so used to it that when I move during the night she just settles around me again. And OH has said that he's even seen me hold up the duvet for her to get in when I'm fast asleep!

Aww she is cute Julz. I had the most wonderful cat when I was a teenager. He was rescue that I saw being thrown out of an upstairs window :-(
I actually stole him from his vile owners he was a bag of bones full of flea and I hide him and got him well. He was the best cat ever and would hug me with a paw each side of my neck and be carried around like that all day. He would sit at the bottom of the stairs in the evenings and as soon as I moved he would shoot up them and sit outside my bedroom door await for bed time. In 10 years there was not a night he didn't sleep on my bed. There will never be another like him. :-)

CM my two were the kittens of a constantly bred cat.. kind of like a puppy farm, but the woman had no idea, the cats two first litters were fathered by the cats brother, then he went walkabout and never came back. mine were from China's 3rd litter.. all the kittens except mine were handed out at 6weeks old, which is bad enough when the kittens are healthy but mine were far from that. I doubt the other kittens are still living. China was under a year old at this point. Her owner kept saying she was going to have her spayed but she always managed to get pregnant first... My niece took two from the 5th litter about 6months later. S & K both had cat flu, K had it worse, both had scour from being weaned onto rubbish adult cat food, covered in fleas... vet said if I could get them to 6 months, I'd be laughing... they were not allowed out until their kitty jags had been done, but they couldn't have them til they were well. They got them at 6months. Also while Salem was used to being handled, K wasn't... that horrible woman told me, that if no-one wanted her she'd just drown her.... so i took her. She was 4months old when she asked for a cuddle.. and 5months when she started purring. The first night I removed 40 fleas from them both

We've got a ginger cat called Garfield (originally!!) who is super cuddly, really affectionate. Our other cat Fidget is quite aloof but is getting friendlier. Unfortunately we can't let them upstairs as they make me wheeze, and play whacky races around the upstairs in the early hours and keep me awake!

My little grey kitty George (sadly passed two years this halloween, still sad) used to curl up under my arm in bed but only if i was feeling miserable otherwise he would not bother coming in, i loved that cat so much. Ginger Ninja Justin cat hangs around on your shoulder cuddles you with paws wrapped around your neck and tries to lick your ear LOL. He also likes to keep me company when im feeling down and i recall on day he followed me a mile down rd to my fav spot hung out with me for about 4 hours and when my OH came looking for me followed me into the car and came home with me, he is 18 this year and his brother Rodney is not a cuddle cat in anyway totally differing personalities.

Just found this photo of Moody-Blue as a kitten. She's still a very small cat, but not this tiny, and she still frequently sits on my shoulder. OH calls her a koala!

Morticia likes to sleep on my head, Gomez on my chest so I usually can't breath. Add Pebble leaning against me (and he weighs a ton) and Bingo sleeping anywhere he fits and it's a wonder I'm still breathing Baldrick used to sleep curled up between me and OH and would start to stretch overnight until he ended up with virtually all the bed Gussie, who was hand reared until we had him, used to sleep curled right into my neck and would suck on my ear all night. I miss those two, they were such affectionate little cats. Poor little Ellis was always relegated to the foot of the bed with the waterproof covers on as he used to leak everywhere Sadly he had to be PTS a month ago.

My cat doesn't sleep with me.. But he makes up for it if I ever sit down for 5 seconds, usually to talk on the phone.. Then he goes to his favourite place.. He weighs about 6.5kg......
