'We' were advised when I had my eldest (27 this year) that bf was a 'supply & demand' operation, the more baby feeds the more your body supplies. They have a growth spurt and a couple of hungry hours/a day your body ramps up production and catches up. 'We' also ate live yoghurt and soft cheeses also eggs. Back in the 'dark ages' and up to 1960's?? before Health Experts got involved Mothers were feeding babies left right and centre, eating what they wanted, smoking walking round in high heels, most babies survived hence the population has grown and most of the 'babies' have grown to be fine healthy specimens. Compare to modern times, we have a long list of foods to avoid, a longer list of formula milks and 'follow on milks' (what IS that about???) and think about all the allergies, sensitivities, illnesses, rarities etc etc etc............ Am at work bored so thought I'd just throw that into the fray - I applaud all New Mums who can make sense and plough their way through all the marketing and media hype thrown at them today. As previously said be guided by your instincts and your baby
