I used to use a halti for my dog but he hated it and would try and pull it off. Not surprised really as it just pulled round his head and went too close to his eye for my liking! He didnt pull as much but he still tried to pull. I also tried a canny collar and it made no difference at all compared with a normal collar. He pulled and choked himself as if the nose strap wasnt there. Now he has a body harness and although he can pull like a train if he wanted to, i am really trying to work on training rather than gadgets. At least i know if he does pull it won't damage his neck. It is very much a work in progress although i like the idea from Ruthp, that does make sense. Everything you read just says about stopping and changing direction. That is great in principle but i dont think it works for all of them, i just get pulled in the new direction!! Then how do you actually get anywhere??
