Anyone had one done? If so what did you think?
I was a none believer and had one done just before Christmas. It was incredibly accurate and a little spooky to. One thing I did notice was after the reading, I felt extremely peaceful and felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders with regards to some family issues.
What does everyone else feel about them?

I've had a few done, and have rated most of them. People think I'm bonkers but I don't care!

Part of me doesn't want to believe it cos it would mean changing how i think about death etc. He didn't ask me any questions, didn't even know my name but got things so accurate that there must be something surely?

Wills many people say they are left with feelings of calm and peace after a reading.........both paternal grandparents were practising Spiritualists and I had a 'naming ceremony' {they don't have traditional christenings} which apprently was one of the nicest ceremonies that anyone could attend.
They won't tell you about death as such, but the belief is that we go on to another life and that life depends ont he lessons we have learned in this one..........at least thats how I understood it from my grandparents. Neither of them wer afraid of dying as they looked on it as another great adventure....... which really isn;t a bad way to look at things.

My farrier (yes, big tough farrier) went to one after the death of his father. He says he was told things only his father could have known (minor details about favourite places etc) and he was very impressed, I think he has been a few times since.

A friend of mine went to one, and had a similar experience to Jill's farrier. One thing she did tell me, which I thought was lovely - when she went in for her first appointment, the spiritualist said to her 'there's a brown horse nuzzling at your pocket.' She went on to describe the brown horse, which my friend recognised as a favourite horse of hers from years ago.

am abit confused what one is! sorry if numpty! Basically its someone who has (or believes they have the ability to pass on messages from people who have passed on - well that's how I would best describe it anyway. My experience was simillar to both what Jill & LizPurlo have described. He never asked me to confirm anything or answer any questions although he would sometimes ask if what he had said made sense to me. Bare with me as this wee bit of background is relevant. I last saw my Grandma when I was 16, 2 years before she died of lung cancer (she was Ill at the time), previous to that I hadn't seen her for 5 years and we had never had a good relationship, she never saw eye to eye with my mum and hadn't spoken to my dad since he was sent to prison (when I was 4). Being brutally honest I never cared much for her and I didn't cry when she died or at the funeral. However I did always feel as a child that we were never good enough for her (she was close to my cousins) and that as a child is hard to understand and accept. I have always felt guilty that the last time i saw her we had a row and I never said good bye to her, i never visited when i knew she was dying and that has caused strain between myself and my 2 older brothers who always seemed to be trying to win her approval. So the first thing this guy said to me was he had a lady with him, and she had passed on from lung cancer. He went on to describe our relationship & how she was a bitter woman towards the end & that we were just children & she should never have treated us like she did. He told me that she was talking about the month March & how it was special for me and that she was with me on that day (my son was born on the 19th of March). He did also say that she still doesnt like my mum (typical ) but she was a better woman than she could ever have been and that I was to thank her for being a wonderful parent and apologise that they hadn't supported her more... There was so much more, if your open to these kind of things, try it.

That's great Wills, so glad it was so helpful and insightful. I know my friend got a great deal out of her session too, and not just the bit about her horse!

I would like to find a good reader. Those of you who had genuine experiences... how did you decide on that particular reader?
I have questions... and honestly religion has left me feeling pretty discouraged and skeptical.

Kristine, if you're interested in this sort of thing, I can thoroughly recommend two books by Michael Newton, called 'Journey of Souls' and 'Destiny of Souls'. They are absolutely fascinating.

My friend had a reading done, her grandpa (who passed on a few months before) told her to look out for a butterfly, it wasnt the right time of year but she would see one when she least expected it. Yesterday she was moving a unit at her Grans (his wife) house and behind it was an orange & black butterfly!!

I was chatting to a friend a few weeks back - she was in a bit of a state because her father in law hadn't long passed away. My friend and her husband live on the family farm, and they were all there, including my friend's two small children, when her husband's father collapsed in the yard. Everyone ran to him and did what they could - my friend is a nurse. Out of the corner of her eye she could see her two children, at the window, terribly distressed and crying, but she could do nothing for them until more help had arrived. Eventually she managed to dash indoors, to find her two children laughing and playing happily in the front room. Her older child looked up and said 'Grandad's in the chair there, and he's making us laugh!'
