We kind of got sent home but still need to work from home. Horses went out but am really not looking forward to going back. Couldnt get my car on the drive when I got home cause there was too much snow. Had to aprk it down the road and I am hoping I can actually get out. No assistance offered by YO or other liveries so just have to grin, bear it and hope to god I survive the drive there and back.

Car is now parked in a fashion at top of road and won't be moving for the foreseeable as I had to hitch it halfway on the path, pretty angle though......
Living at the height of the Chilterns does have it's benefits sometimes but not really in the snow.....

We have about 4 inches of snow now. Work was halted today so lovely OH offered to come to the field. After abandoning the car half way as the *&(*^()(* council didn't bother to grit the roads (every road out of town centre is a steep hill!!) we started to walk the last 2 miles, when the landowner passed and said he'd pick us up in a few mins. His Land Rover got stuck down the long drive but we helped him out with dirty straw under the wheels, lol. After we'd done the horses he gave us a lift back on his quad-bike. I was sat on the front & I've never been so cold in my life, but it was lots of fun Just about to go back up when my friend phoned and said she was still there so would see to Ginge for me, much as I wanted to go back up I did think it'd be safer to not bother with the horrid road conditions. OH said can I ask everyone a question.. "how do you get rid of the smell of mare's p*** off your clothes?" ;D LOL!!!

In Gloucestershire, snow started about 5 this morning and has only just stopped at about 6 tonight.Had a snow day , arranged in advance with the boss. Been to the yard 3 times , second time was an emergency. Although all ok. My mum wrote her car off today , but thankfully is ok.God knows why she went out ,she said it was ok when she left home and the snow started whilst she was at the chiropractors. Now after tying large haynets up in fields and shutting one in horse in his stable ,I am at home drinking cava and eating casserole.Have a friend giving me a list to stable tomorrow in her landrover.
Also my jack russels have both started puking everywhere and feeling very sorry for themselves. Lab is ok at present. Hope they are all ok.
