I'm just breathless here... you are nothing short of fantastic, and looking so relaxed up there. This must be such a great feeling after all you've been through. Not a shred of self pity, but getting on with your riding... ;D

Well done Jan!! ;D I love to read your posts as you are always so positive and cheerful, despite the rough times you have been through. Coco and Dancer are absolute sweeties and great to hear that you have lots of support and caring friends like Amanda and Chris. xxxx

What great photos, and such an uplifting post - and Coco looks gorgeous! He looks really chuffed to come out of retirement. Well done all.

Thanks all for your lovely kind comments ;D. I'm beginning to feel a lot stronger, which is good. I might be struggling a bit more when the time comes to make decisions about what to do next with Lucas though - that's neither so easy or so straightforward. Not yet though, couple of weeks before I have to face that one....

... and Coco is so cute. ;D Don't mean to offend him with a girly term but what a fella taking all that in his stride.

D'you know, I don't think Coco minds in the least being called cute! He was a kids' pony for most of his life, he taught his little ones to ride and took them all the way to bigger horses, loves children and cuddles and being groomed and any kind of fuss really. Lots of people think he's a she and I doubt it would bother him at all as long as he's being admired and treasured! I don't think he's ever been ridden by adults but at 14.3 he's big enough for a lightweight adult - luckily I'm not too heavy and lost some weight after my op! It will be nice for him to get a bit more attention, Lucas has taken so much of my energy and time over the last couple of years and I've been aware that Coco would appreciate a bit more of it so perhaps now is his time. There will be some negotiating to do in the Monstercob department though!

Well done, Im sure if that had been me I would have been a gibbering wreck, but you look pretty calm and together up there. ;D Truth is it took all my courage, and a lot of support from Amanda, to get my confidence back on Lucas last summer. I got there, and then got over confident and came a cropper!! I'm determined not to lose my nerve again though, it was blooming hard won. So I think being confident has become something of a determined state of mind. Having said that, Dancer just felt so safe and gentle that it was no effort to relax and enjoy the moment .
