Hello,
I lost touch with this forum a few years ago between uni etc.
So an update...I finished Uni in 2009 and moved home with the intention of saving some money, moving and buying a horse. I was bringing on a lovely 5yo mare until I slipped off (literally!) and broke my back in June 2010. It made a massive dent in my physical abilities and confidence but I could never give up.
I ended up buying Saffy in December 2010 as a scrawny (she had been abandoned) weanling...

It took me a month to get her in a stable (following her field mate the guided into her own) and 4 months to catch her in the field. It's been a long old road but she's gone from a terrified weanling to a brave, traffic proof pony who plays babysitting to other ponies. I had my first 5 min sit on her this summer

This summer I bought another pony but he was stolen while I was waiting for him to be gelded....so a friend asked me to hide her daughters surprise present, Rocky. He's still at mine and despite his owners nagging, I think he's staying for a while longer.
He's 18 months old and although when he came he was a bit 'cheeky' he's a little lamb now and I'm very attached.

A recent addition, thanks to some amazing friends, is Sam. He's 3 1/2 and on loan at the moment (penny pot is filling up). He's done lots of in hand showing but needs some major de-spooking work and more exposure on the roads. Plan is to start backing him in the spring but on Christmas day....I had a cheeky sit after our walk.

The other special people in my life (besides the small animals) are the three dogs. Jack you may remember, he's nearly 9yo and a pembroke corgi. Quila is nearly 3yo and a pembroke corgi. I picked her up three days before I broke my back so she's not the best socialised but a little gem. Tia is a 10 month old Rotti x American Bulldog (friend had an accident). She's hit her teens and is a cheeky monkey but a good girl really.

So that's me....will be sticking around all being well. Don't have masses of time with the gang lol.
