I agree with JennyB and bring back the barn boogies, dortar Jen. LOL
I and a few others have 'fun' on the fun and games side of this forum. You can say what you like within reason and sometimes I laugh till I cry which can be a real release from everyday stress and worry.

I am a bit wary of putting up new threads but that is just me really, a bit reticent. I havent got on here lately because my new job got stupidly busy but I like this board generally. At one point it did get a little bit tribal, which put me off a little, I never intend to butt in, just join in I'm still here though, I didn't let it get to me that much. There has been some fantastic humour on here at times, too.

I have to say this is the friendliest forum I have ever used and I have used a lot lol x
I have found they all tend to go a bit quiet as winter comes in probably as were all knackered from all the extra mucking out and if like me tend to do less with them through the winter so less problems or positives to post about x
This is the only forum I feel I can be truly honest on and even if people disagree they do it without being nasty and anybody can take that.

I think sometimes people are scared to post in case they get flamed for their opinions. And plus it is winter and there is not much exciting going on! I could bore you all to death about Jos' feet issues we've been having recently, if anyone is REALLY bored, although no doubt that would start another argument

My local facebook horse group is far worse than here. They get really abusive on there!!!. Guess everyone is just busy with Christmas and the rubbish weather means more work at the stables etc,

Yes I was wondering that, seems that there used to be more going on. I do think that Monty / TWH thread put some people off which was a real pity. This is a great DG and the only one I ever use. Sometimes I look on HHO and sheesh! there is some cattiness there. You guys are much nicer.

I wonder at the response to a lot of problems/issue threads being get an RA out and people seem to be uncomfortable posting their own experiences/ideas etc. get a feeling there is a bit of a "people might follow my own experiences and it all go wrong and it'll be my fault" type issue going on sometimes as well. just a thought, it is a lot quieter than it used to be I agree, but now I'm horseless I tend to just lurk and look at the photo threads more than anything now

Also I tend to read on my iphone now and typing long answers isn't very easy.

I have a look most days but find so little to comment on. h+h has become a bit less traditional, with a wider variety of views, but even that as people have said is slow. I have discovered - thro recommendations on here - the Phoenix forum for barefoot, which is a better place to look up info on boots, diet etc. - as it is all in one place and all like-minded people.
when threads get heated i just lurk, no need to fan the flames - I have enough stress at work i don't need it in my horsey life too!

I spend more time online in Winter. I am a Dogwalker and Gardener -so, if it's daylight, I'm probably outdoors.
