Only just seen this. It is so terrifying. My herd got out years ago in Henley on Thames I was lucky it was early sunday AM and light. They went round the one way system and visited the police station car park!!and the story goes on SO glad your boys are on the mend by the sound of it.

I hope your boys are feeling better now and that you have recovered from the scare.

the boys got some turnout this weekend, much to their delight ;D big fella seems absolutely fine now, biscuit was noticeable lame on his off fore yesterday but better today, have stopped painkillers for the big man but keeping them up for biscuit, think he was hit quite hard the owner of the landrover who hit him said to me on the phone the other eve, if i had hit the big one i would have certainly broken his legs thank god they are both ok and mending well and thanks to lizp for checking on them last week when i was at work

Oh Laura! I haven't been on here for ages but was just thinking about you this evening, and wondering how you and your boys were .... and then logged on (after finally retrieving my password!) to read this!! How terribly scary for you! I am so glad they seem to be picking up. It must have been horrific. Thank goodness they are both now safe and sound. Don't beat yourself up. As everyone has said, it was an accident. I came home once with the trailer, fastened the field gate back (as I always do as our horses are contained in paddocks in electric fencing) and drove my trailer in, then went back to shut the gate. After I pulled in to my paddock (fence down as we were out) I found my friend's horse had jumped out of his fenced area and wandered in to my field shelter and was munching on the hay!! My blood still runs cold as he could easily have been near the gate and run out on to the busy Layer Road whilst I was getting back in the car and towing the trailer through the gateway!

Oh buggery b0110x, so sorry to read this - but I'm pleased to hear that they both seem to be improving and hope they continue to do so.
My dog tried to get himself run over this morning (I kid you not!) - animals either break your heart or wallet Ive decided - or both!!
