Gill had been suffering from cancer and passed away a fortnight ago. She has posted on the DG for many years and continued to do so until very recently.
I remember Gill being so excited about coming to France, the long wait before she was able to do so, finally arriving in the mid-noughties - even if her time here was cut tragically short.
Seize the day and live life to the full. God bless, Gill. xxx

Dear Gill, I'm so sad that life has been cut so short for her. And so sad for her family, who must miss her horribly. I met Gill in person just a couple of times since we came to France, including when she and Chris came down to our joint 30th birthday and housewarming over here. We were only just sniggering together on FB not long before Christmas about vet bills for Thoroughbreds. Throughout the years on this DG, I was always struck by how patient, tolerant and well reasoned she was with even who I would consider to be the most difficult people. And how passionately she loved and cared for her horses.
I'll always remember you Gill and I'm so sad that you've been taken from this life too early. God bless, lovely lady.

Oh no. Even though we may never meet the horses/cats/dogs/people on the DG it still comes as a shock and is sad when they pass as we get to know so much about them.
RIP Gill xx

I am honestly shocked to the core. I had no idea that Gill had been ill and this news is unbelievable. I met Gill with Sharon H at a Richard Maxwell demo many years ago. She helped me when Luke had perontinitis ( as Concer had previously suffered this as well ) and more recently, introduced me to Trevor as a trimmer for Sunny. God bless you Gill. I will be forever grateful to you Gill for all the advice and support you have given me. Thinking of your family at this extremely sad time xx

I am shocked to the core at Gill's sad passing. I've been blessed to read of her Concer stories and when I met her at Wendy's 30th birthday party, it was like a revelation that I'd actually met her in person. Rest in peace Gill xxx

RIP Gill.
I was shocked to hear this, had no idea she was ill and having seen her posting on here very recently makes it hard to take in.
