And this... www.allnaturalpetcare.com/Holistic_Pet_Remedies/Natural_Therapy_Equine_Osteoarthritis.pdfCheap as chips, all natural, no loading dose, no side-effects, can't overdose and you'll know pretty quickly if it works for your horse. More horses respond positively than those unfortunate few for whom it doesn't make a difference but it's certainly not detrimental. If you have a faddy eater, introduce slowly as it's got a strong taste. (And don't try tasting the powder... it does NOT taste good! From one who knows!! ;D)

Actually, that's not true! I eat loads of the stuff - put it in curries, soups, sprinkle it on scrambled eggs. I'd quite happily eat it by the spoonful, apart from the fact that it's dry and powdery ;D

Well done Nich!! Indian supermarkets may well be a very cheap place to buy, and in bulk.

Holland and Barrett do turmeric capsules, I take them and they seem to help me too, I'm much less achey these days.
I buy my bulk turmeric from a continental grocer at £4.40 a kilo.

I have arthritis in my fingers and spine and was getting really worried about how stiff my fingers were getting. A friend suggested turmeric and I had read on the Net that it was proving amazing for arthritis and meant to get some, but forgot. My fingers were getting really painful, enough to even keep me awake at night. I had tried a number of remedies, glucosamine etc etc, but nothing helped.
I bought some turmeric caplets from Just Vitamins on the Net and started taking them. Two days later I realised I had no pain in my fingers, had sort of forgotten as they werent hurting. I simply couldnt believe it was the turmeric, only two days, and a simple kitchen spice, but it wasnt a fluke. I have been on it three months now and my fingers are so much less stiff and almost no pain. It is little short of a miracle! I am going to put my arthritic old Arab on it now too.

My aches and pains are minor in comparison, but I had a similar experience, I was convinced I had a placebo effect going on It would explain why my supposedly crocked mare is still pottering along very happily and occasionally thundering off in canter with her rider when she's meant to be plodding around, and why my other horse is doing a excellent spring chicken impersonation
