A Pintabian is a coloured Arabian horse, pure bred and very beautiful...............Performance Arabians breed the most lovely examples of Pintabians, they truly are spectacular, many examples in the States but they are becoming more popular over here as well.

Pinto x arabian? Never heard of them though, but i suppose its on the lines of labradoodles and cockerpoos, what used to be cross breeds are now named and sold at a premium.

Dm they are pure bred arabians with colours....................Whilst the white or 'Sabino' gene does exist in Pure bred Arabians (which lets horses such as Picaso Kossac to be registered as a colored horse in the U.K.), the Tobiano (or Pinto) color gene does not. Pinto Arabians, Pintabians, or Pintarabians are eye catching and exotic.

Pintabians are very beautiful, but can never be a purebreed as a pinto has had to be crossed into the breeding somewhere - then bred back to arabs to be very high % arab. There are some gorgeous ones out there though

Technically, a pintabian is a coloured horse of over 99% arabian blood - you will never get a "pure" coloured arabian

Will look them up, they sound gorgeous! Bet they're pricey, though

correct me if im wrong but i think they have to be 98%arab to qualify as a pintabian and they can be quite pricey which is why im going to start saving now :-) hoping izzy has a good 5years left in her or more :-)

I read somewhere that coloured Arabs did exist but they were "culled" because they were the "wrong colour"
